Haven’t been here for 2 days. Nothing much has been happening. I mean do you really want to know what I had for breakfast? Lol
I reconnected with a penpal from Mexico. That’s really nice. It amazes me that some people don’t know what a penpal is!
Working on a blog post called “The First Sin.” Ooh it’s going to be great!
Today is my oldest grandson’s birthday. He turned 12. OMG, really where does the time go?
Hubby came home early yesterday and was jamming Chamorro songs. He was in a good mood. I better tell him to jam more often 😛
Went and got me some stuff at Burlington. Finally spent the last of my birthday money. Got some art supplies, a paper cutter and scorer to be exact, at Burlington’s, and books and a huge plaque with the 1 Corinthians 13 quote- love is patient, love is kind…at the Goodwill store. I love thrift stores and Burlington!
Yesterday and today I woke up really early, 5:30 yesterday and 6:30 today. Felt good because I did my Bible study and some blogging.
Ok I’m going to tell you what we had for breakfast, haha. It’s because I got up early that’s why! And I made good use of my time. And I’m proud of myself!
So I had been craving for French toast since last week and that’s what I made. With bacon and scrambled eggs on the side. Later that day I fried fish and chicken. Fish for me and Ang and chicken for the kids. Especially for Ty. He asked me to make that because he started craving for it after watching the movie, The Help.
Will be having Thanksgiving here, our first Thanksgiving in our new house. Serena “voluntold” me, lol! It’s ok that’s what I wanted but she beat me to it. Already invited the Colomas. Of course, Ags and Serena and their families will be here. Just gotta call Dawn now to let her know.
We had broiled pork chops last night and Ang made poki. We don’t have much left over but I don’t plan on cooking tonight. Well maybe I’ll fry spam.
So I did fry spam and I got so sleepy after I ate, I’m so bad! I took a nap after fighting it for hours. That nap became 3 hours long! Believe it or not I’m actually sleepy early this time so I’m gonna lay down after I finish this. Again I’m fighting my sleep. I don’t know why I do this to myself!
We went to Bible study. So glad we did because to be honest, sometimes I really don’t feel like it but always, always, always, I end up being glad that we did. We studied Leviticus 10.1-5 and connected it to so many other passages that led to why we don’t use instruments in our worship. That was really interesting. And it gave me some ammo to go by. I love God’s word! When we connect things and it makes sense its just amazing!
Do you have any questions for me? Is there something I could pray about for you?
Let me leave you with the Plan of Salvation. It’s the Good News, the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And it’s open and free for anyone and everyone.
Will you obey today? God wants you to be saved. He doesn’t want YOU OR ANYONE to perish.

THANKS FOR VISITING!
Cil,
Could you give me the Bible Scriptures about no instruments in the Church of Christ you studied on Wednesday night? I was always curious about that, but it didn’t matter to me whether there were instruments or not. I already had some favorites of my own and I really liked the way Alex & Brenda harominized singing together. Tammy and Joey sing really good at the Church of Christ here
too.
I enjoyed reading your Blog again today and liked what you did and all the food you cooked and ate! I can imagine what Thanksgiving is gonna be like. Post some pictures of it.
Hi Ida. Before giving Scripture about no instruments let me first give you Scripture on who has the authority:
Matt.28.18
Jn 17.20
1 Jn 1.3-4
Matt. 28.19-20
It is Jesus and only Jesus. We can’t “add” instruments in our worship even if we think that there’s nothing wrong with it. If Jesus doesn’t want it then we should not add it.
How do I praise God? By singing, and singing in our hearts. We cannot sing with our hearts when there are people playing instruments as they will be a distraction. Did you know that the word acapella in Latin means, “In the manner of the church?”
Heb.13.15
Col 3.16
Eph 5.19
But what about David who worshiped God in Psalm 150 with instruments?
Amos 6.5
1 Chron 23.1-5
2 Chron 29.25-27
It was DAVID who ordained the instruments, not God. So who will we follow? Do I follow what David ordained? Or what God ordained? If your going to follow David, you will have to go where David is. Acts 2.29 David is not the Christ. We need to honor what Christ taught us.
